How it works - the 1-2-3 of downloading stories.
So how do the digital downloads? We deliver the stories to you electronically via your broadband connection in a process that's designed to be as straightforward as possible. If you register with us you'll be able to view your order history and receive updates of special offers in our occasional newsletters (you can opt out of the newsletter at any time). In the meantime, here's a quick guide to the 1-2-3 of downloading your stories.

Browse the catalogue and put the stories you'd like to buy into your shopping cart by clicking the "add to cart" button. Remember, you can listen to free clips of everything on the site by clicking on the "listen to preview" button on each story. You can return to your shopping cart at any time so if you find you've put something in there you didn't intend to buy, you can take it out easily.2.
Once you're happy that you've chosen the stories you want, click on "proceed to checkout". At this point PayPal will take details of your payment and will process the transaction safely and securely (we are not involved in the financial transaction and don't see any credit card numbers). Follow PayPal's instructions to complete your order.3.
Within a few minutes, you'll receive two e-mails, one from PayPal confirming your payment, and one from us confirming your order. Now, go to "my downloadable products" and RIGHT click on the story name to save it to your computer in the normal way, i.e. click "save as" in the location you choose. As an extra fail-safe, the e-mail from us has a link to each story, so you can download by clicking on this link too. A typical 10 minute story will take between 45 and 60 seconds to download, depending on your internet connection.
After that, you can use the downloaded audio however you like - keep it in your computer's library, burn it to CD or transfer it to an MP3 player. You can return to "my downloadable products" to re-download each story you've bought up to 5 times. This is in case you delete them from your computer accidentally - we want you to be able to go and get them again without having to pay again.
